YMC HILIC Columns for Polar Analytes

YMC HILIC Columns for Polar AnalytesIn general, reliable applications in HPLC require a minimum retention factor (k’) of 2. In the widely used reversed phase methods polar compounds such as peptides, organic acids or pyrimidines often exhibit little or no retention and therefore low resolution on a conventional C18 phase. The use of additives such as ionpair reagents is not an alternative since it is not applicable to LC-MS. Also normal phase chromatography fails due to poor solubility of the polar compounds in organic solvents. HILIC fills the gap between reversed phase and normal phase chromatography, because polar compounds can be retained while using e.g. acetonitrile/water eluents and buffers suitable for LC-MS.

Discover the benefits of the new YMC*Gel HG-silica-base

NEW YMC*Gel HG-Type silica phases offer added value at no extra cost.

The continuous improvement of our bulk material is a central issue at YMC. Combining a new base silica with narrower particle- and pore-size distribution gives rise to our new YMC*Gel HG-phases.

The benefits for your applications include:

    • Even greater reproducibility
    • Lower operating pressures
    • Increased durability, longer life cycle
    • Further improvement in packing performance

Simply by looking at the new particles under the microscope, the differences to conventional base silica material become apparent. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images clearly show that the particle surfaces of the HG-Phases are perfectly round and smooth. Furthermore, the HG-Phase material shows virtually no hollow “balloon-particles” under the light microscope. (see images below)

NEW: YMC*Gel HG-silica-base

Trusted selectivity - always available:

YMC’s customers have put their trust in us for more than 30 years for one important reason: our unchanged product availability. This is why all those materials you currently use will continue to be available. Any phases which are used or will be used in validated processes or methods will continue to be available for the entire life cycle of your products.

In order to meet our customers demands regarding cost and process efficiency we will be offering the YMC*Gel HG-Phases for all new inquiries and projects.

The following YMC*Gel HG-Phases are now available:

Now available: YMC*Gel HG-Phases

The HG-Phases are available in particle sizes from 10μm to 50 μm and pore sizes from 12nm to 30nm in multi-ton quantities if required. Please contact us for a list of all available phases.

High performance syringe dosing unit with outstanding capabilities in terms of chemical resistance and precision!

Syrris asia pumpDesigned specifically for flow chemistry, where requirements to the pumping units naturally are very high, the ultra smooth Asia Pump is extremely chemical resistant and is rated to 20 bar (300psi). This compact microfluidic module offers two independent flow channels each with an integrated pressure sensor and a flow rate range from 1.0µl to 10ml/min.
Produced to the highest specification, the innovative pump is controlled by the easy to use and intuitive front panel (twist and click control knob) or by the Asia Manager PC software. In either standalone mode or PC software mode, flow rate can be controlled quickly and easily. When used as part of a larger flow chemistry system, the Asia Pump accurately controls and runs complex flow chemistry experiments with the click of a button. The Asia Pump offers ultimate ease of use. The valves, pressure sensors and syringes can all be unclipped / unscrewed in seconds without the need for tools.

Benefits:

    • Flexible: The Asia Pump offers two independent flow channels (each with integrated pressure sensing).
    • Extremely smooth flow rate: Incredibly smooth flow rate is provided by each channel.
    • Wide pressure range: Operating pressure of 20 bar (300psi) (tested to 30 bar / 450psi).
    • Safe: PTFE pressure sensor on each channel with automatic overpressure stop.
    • No tools required: Replace valves, syringes and pressure sensors without the need for tools.
    • Easy to use on its own: Twist and click control knob and large LCD display.
    • Wide flow rate range: 1.0μl to 10ml/min.
    • Intelligent: PC Software enables quick and easy control of flow chemistry process.
    • Compact: The Asia Pump is just 16cm (6.3") wide.
    • Excellent chemical compatibility: PTFE (and other fluorinated polymers) and glass only.

Specification:

    • Pressure sensors: 2
    • Total flow rate range per channel: 1μl to 10ml/min
      • With Asia Yellow Syringes* (50μl/100μl) 1μl to 250μl/min
